Snow started falling just before noon Tuesday, and while it won’t accumulate to much the combination of snow, sleet and freezing rain could make for tricky.

San Diego County’s coronavirus vaccination super station near the downtown ballpark reopened Wednesday after being shut down for two days due to wild winter weather.
The downtown San Diego site – located at 1235 K St. at the lot at Tailgate Park near Petco Park – reopened at 7 a.m. but already at 5 a.m., there were cars waiting in line to make their way through the drive-up testing area. D

The line was controlled by a few traffic officers, but even still, some people with appointments said drivers were cutting into the line at various intersections. Some had to wait up to four hours for their appointment but by the evening the line dwindled significantly and most had virtually no wait.

A storm system (third in a row) arrives late tomorrow here in the Valley, but is making noise up north with heavy rain, flooding, and a Blizzard Warning for the Sierras.
A Flash Flood Watch will go into effect Thursday at 7 PM lasting though 4 PM Friday for areas West of the Valley including our local mountains, which means in addition to the expected rain, runoff could fill washes and create hazardous situations here as well as to our West. This watch runs all along the Santa Rosa Mountains bordering the Valley to the South as well.
A cool and dry air mass will remain in place for much of Tuesday with highs topping out in the upper-40s. Another cold front will approach the area during the evening bringing a slight chance for a stray and short-lived shower.
